ඉන්ටනෙට්

ඉන්ටනෙට් යනු ලෝකය පුරා විහිදී ඇති ස්වාධීන (autonomous) පරිගණක ජාලවලින් සැදි ජාලයකි. එය ලෝක මට්ටමින් ඉලෙක්ට්‍රොනික තොරතුරු හුවමාරුව පිණිස යටිතල පහසුකම් සපයයි. අද මිලියන ගණනක් මිනිසුන්ට ව්‍යාපාර කටයුතු, අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු හා සාමාන්‍ය සන්නිවේදන කටයුතු සඳහා ඉන්ටනෙ‍ට් මගින් පහසුකම් සපයා දී තිබේ.

අන්තර්ජාලය එක් රැයකින් බිහිවූවක් නොවේ. 1950 අග භාගයේ සිට සිදු කල පරීක්ෂණ වල ප්‍රතිඵලයක් ලෙස එය හැදින්විය හැක. අන්තර්ජාලයට මූලික අඩිතාලම ලෙස 1968දී ඇමරිකාවේ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව [Department of Defense] විසින් Advanced Research Project Agency(ARPA), [Defence Advanced Research Project Agency ලෙස හැදින්වෙන්නේද මෙයම වේ] ආරම්භ කිරීම දැක්විය හැක. ඔවුන් විසින් පලමු ලෝකව්‍යාප්ත පරිගණක ජාලය වන Advanced Research Project Agency Network(ARPANET) නිර්මාණය කරන ලදී. එහි මූලික අරමුණ වුයේ විශ්වවිද්‍යාල, පර්යේෂණ ආයතන සහ දුරස්ථ පරිගණක මධ්‍යස්ථාන එකිනෙකට සම්බන්ධ කර ජාලයක් සැකසීමය.

ARPANET හි සැකසුම බහු ධාරක ( Multipal Hosts) සහ බහු සබඳතා (Multipal connecitons) සදහා පහසුකම් ලබා දුනි. මෙම නිසා පූර්ණ ජාල අකර්මන්‍ය වීමට ඇති ඉඩකඩ අඩුවිය. මෙහි මධ්‍යගත ස්ථානයක් නොමැති විම දුර්වල ස්ථානයක් නොමැතිව පාලනය මුලු ජාලය පුරා විහිදී තිබිණ. තවද මෙම මධ්‍යගත ස්ථානයක් නොමැතිවීම ධාරක කිහිපයක් අකර්මන්‍ය වුවද හොදින් වැඩ කල හැකි ශක්තිමත් විශ්වාසී ජාලයක් බිහිවීමට හේතු විය.

1980 දී ඇමරිකාවේ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව ARPANET ව්‍යාපෘතිය National Science Foundation (NSF) වෙත භාර දෙන ලදී. ‍එහිදී NSF විසින්
